Letter at 2001 May 7

Sant Thakar SinghMy very dear souls,

My tour to the Western countries has started, and tomorrow I will travel to Kiev in Ukraine, the first leg of this tour. I am looking forward to seeing you and so many dear ones, and together we can enjoy Godly atmosphere in physical presence of the Master.

This time especially, the emphasis of the Retreats will be to develop Godly qualities and Godly charging in the dear participants. For this I wish to have special schedules and rules established which all should adhere to. Seekers should be informed of the program as well, but it is up to them whether they want to adhere to it or not. I trust that you will be able to explain the purpose of these measures in a very positive way, so that all can understand its benefits and will wholeheartedly accept and go along. Needless to say that I will also talk about it in detail during my Satsangs, but information should be handed out already at time of registration. Also you should personally outline the program in detail before the first Satsang, so that all have the same understanding of it. A schedule is attached for your information, but you are to adjust the timings in accordance with your meal times and seva times, without changing the maximum allotted time for each function. Please email or fax the adjusted schedule to me before May 17 (see addresses below), for those Retreats which you are organizing. During the entire time (including during meals) the dear ones are requested to keep silent, except for one hour a day, which you may designate. Time for speaking can also be split up in two half hours, if you prefer. Even fulltime sevadars are requested to adhere to the program, but their schedule can be changed according to necessity, taking into consideration that a minimum of 4 hours meditation has to be put in daily, possibly even more. Every Retreat participant (including those who are accommodated outside of our premises) is to keep a daily diary with hourly checkups (a sample of which is attached), including total meditation times and inner experiences. The dear ones are also requested to show up for Satsang half hour before its start and to meditate until my arrival. In addition to the spiritual aspect it is recommended that wherever we have control of the food which is served during the Retreat, mostly raw food and sprouts are to be offered. One third of the food can be cooked. Also, the consumption of tea, coffee and soft drinks in prohibited throughout the Retreat.

If Lord Christ has sacrificed his life for the sins of His followers, then every Satsangi should sacrifice talking as well as a lifestyle which is driven by the mind, for the Master and for their own sins. The cross is a symbol of Christianity and it stands for annihilation. When we have crossed the horizontal line, then we are no longer existing in our worldly life but only in our Godly life. We have to learn to live as soul, and the Retreat is a perfect opportunity to practice this lifestyle. Then everyone will have a practical experience of how great, how wonderful the change will be in the hearts of the people. It is my sincere wish and desire that all my dear initiates should be put on the way of life and not continue with the way of destruction. The upcoming Retreats should serve as a practical experience towards this goal. Your cooperation to make this program successful is much appreciated and sought after.

With all love,

Yours Fatherly,

Thakar Singh
